You will write a compare and contrast essay, pairing Beowulf from the the poem "Beowulf" with a modern, popular, fictional hero.
Requirements:
- You may choose any modern fiction hero (for example: Black Panther, Harry Potter, Princess Leia, etc.).
- You must compare and contrast the following elements:
- The characterstics that make them heroic to others due to their interactions with others.
- Their origin stories and character development.
- The characters' own take on their heroism.
- Their heroic deeds based on the words used to describe their values, beliefs, and experiences throughout the stories.
- Your essay must be double-spaced, using 12 pt. Times New Roman font.
- Your essay must include evidence from both "Beowulf" and the movie or text of your chosen hero.
- Your essay must also include evidence from at least three additional secondary scholarly sources.
